Novi, MI - Friday, September 24 through Sunday, September 26, 2010
An American Sewing Expo Hands-on Seminar is defined as a
2 to 6-hour long workshop-style class where the student creates a project or learns a skill.
Students purchase a ticket for these, thus the education they receive must be
non-product specific, and as described in published class description.
Student kit fees are to be minimal-only enough to cover materials.
Hands-On Seminars are to be taught at the same time daily
- Fill out a separate form for each seminar.
- A sample of the proposed project must be sent to our office at the time of application.
(If the class does not actually consist of a specific item, such as a fitting class, pattern alteration, etc.,
please send photo (.gif or .jpg) of students working as they will be in class for us to show a visual description online. At the very least, send a photo of the teacher.
Send samples to:
American Sewing Expo, 1385 Clyde Rd, Highland, MI 48357
Photos may be sent via email to: brendarogerson@comcast.net
- ONLY those with samples (or photos) submitted will be considered.
- Please do not submit class descriptions that you are not prepared to teach. All submissions will be considered.
- If your supply list requires the student to contact you, all contact information should be listed with your kit information. Contact must be made directly between you and the student.
- If there are any special considerations we need to know about, please include this information with your application.
- Applications are considered only after a booth deposit has been received.
If you apply to teach more than 1 seminar (includes hands-on and regular seminars),
please number the classes in order of importance to you. This seminar is #
