Novi, MI - Wednesday, September 22 and/or Thursday, September 23, 2010
Workshops will begin promptly at 9 AM and end at 5 PM.
An American Sewing Expo
Pre-Show Workshop is defined as a full-day
workshop-style class where the student creates a project or learns a skill.
Students purchase a ticket for these, thus the education they receive must be
non-product specific, and as described in published class description.
Student kit fees are to be minimal-only enough to cover materials.
- If you are sending more than one workshop proposal, fill out a separate form for each.
- Send a sample of the proposed project to our office at the time of application.
(If the class does not actually consist of a specific item, such as a fitting class, pattern alteration, etc.,
please send photo (.gif or .jpg format) of of students working as they will be in class for us to show a visual
description online. At the very least, send a photo of the teacher.
Send samples to:
American Sewing Expo, 1385 Clyde Rd, Highland, MI 48357
Photos (.gif or .jpg format) may be sent via email to: brendarogerson@comcast.net
- Please do not submit class descriptions that you are not prepared to teach. All submissions will be considered.
- If there are any special considerations we need to know about, please include this information with your application.
- If your supply list requires the student to contact you, all contact information should be listed with your kit information. Contact must be made directly between you and the student.
- Pre-Show teachers will be paid $25 per student in attendance only the day of the workshop.
- ONLY those with samples (or photos) submitted will be considered.
- Applications are considered only after a booth deposit has been received.
- Pre-Show teachers may teach 2 consecutive years, then must take 1 year off.
(The only likely exception is if a teacher's workshop sells out within the first 10 days of Pre-Registration.)
This does not apply to 2-hr hands-on seminars during the show. Applications are considered only after a booth
deposit has been received.
